I have a Mac laptop with the following specs: Apple 2020 MacBook Air Laptop M1 Chip, 13" Retina Display, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD Storage. My download Mbps is 446.19 and my upload Mbps is 24.59 for my internet.
I do a music live stream three times a week that consist of my webcam and a screen share of a document. I mostly just play music and speak after about 3 to 4 songs, so there's not much activity going on. I do have Spotify playing during the stream and that's where the audio comes from.
I only use Twitch Studio and for the most part, I don't have any problems. However, the stream has been skipping and buffering on the viewing end lately. On my end (from the studio) I don't have any problems. When I go to try to optimize settings, it says my bandwidth is good but may experience a choppy stream due to hardware and the internet.
During the streams, I close background apps as well as any other applications except for Spotify, Twitch Studio, Webcam, and Images. I have cleared my history and cache from my browser and have a mostly free hard drive. I also use a hardwired ethernet connection.
How can I get the stream to stop skipping from the viewing end?
