Hello,
I've been streaming for a couple days now and I don't get any sound coming through at all. Even when I try to use the sound check function, it shows a blip so it must be registering, but no sound comes from my headphones. Sound works normally on games and websites after I close Studio though.
Any help would be appreciated!

Please uninstall advanced audio mixer

#

In settings, audio

atomic harbor
#

it isn't installed in the first place, is there anything else I could try?

obsidian creek
#

can you post a screenshot of your audio mixer (bottom left 3 line icon)

atomic harbor
#

do you think that installing advanced audio mixer will help?

obsidian creek
#

bluetooth?

atomic harbor
#

yup

obsidian creek
#

o oh... and you are using it for the mic as well

atomic harbor
#

yup

#

the mic works

#

the sound doesn't

obsidian creek
#

that means your audio will sound like crap

atomic harbor
#

is there a way to make it work though?

obsidian creek
#

can you try removing the speaker from the sources and adding it back?

atomic harbor
#

like disconnecting the bluetooth or changing the audio source?

obsidian creek
#

don't touch your headphones. just remove it in the audio mixer and add it back

#

also when you add there are 2 of them. one is default speakers (your bt name). then another just with just the bt headphones

#

try them both

atomic harbor
#

BT stereo is the only one that pops up for individual audio sources, AG audio pops up for microphone

#

I tried changing the source to something else, but when I did it didn't even register that something was playing volume

#

I changed it back after and it still plays no sound, but it shows that sound is playing

obsidian creek
#

what shows sound is playing?

atomic harbor
#

it looks like this

obsidian creek
#

okay looks good there

atomic harbor
#

the sound still doesn't play though

obsidian creek
#

play through what?

#

you can't hear?

atomic harbor
#

yeah, I can't hear through the headphones

#

the stream hears fine

obsidian creek
#

and if you quit the app you can hear?

atomic harbor
#

yup

obsidian creek
#

not sure why that's the case... and you said you didn't install advanced audio mixer?

atomic harbor
#

yup

obsidian creek
#

head over to settings, audio, and the install is at the top.. does it say install or uninstall?

atomic harbor
#

it says install

obsidian creek
#

are you using any particular audio software for the headphones? like special bt or audio driver,

atomic harbor
#

no, just whatever came with the computer

obsidian creek
#

what if you choose a different mic?

atomic harbor
#

there are no other options in the audio drop down

obsidian creek
#

do you have any wired headsets? (like the ones from the phone)

atomic harbor
#

none that work, no

#

just tested my earbuds

obsidian creek
#

head over to windows sound settings, make sure you didn't mute twitch studio

atomic harbor
#

it says that its working

obsidian creek
#

on windows 10 mine is called "app volume and device preferences"

#

TwitchStudioAgent 100%, both defaults

atomic harbor
obsidian creek
#

ok

#

ran out of clues...

#

oh have you tried uninstall and reinstall twitch studio?

atomic harbor
#

it isn't letting me

#

it says its in use but I shut it down through task manager

obsidian creek
#

reboot your pc

atomic harbor
#

alright, I got it uninstalled and downloaded again

#

but now it won't recognize that the headphones exist at all as a microphone and the audio menu is blank

#

it is playing audio while I have it open though

atomic harbor
#

okay, I got it to find it again but it is back to not playing audio while Twitch Studio is open

obsidian creek
#

alright. please submit a bug for it. please try a wired headset or a wireless but not BT.

Try this

#

Disable Handsfree Telephony and Remote Control
Go to Start, then search for Control Panel. “Control Panel' highlighted.
Select Hardware and Sound > Devices and Printers. ...
Right-click on your Bluetooth audio device name, then select Properties. ...
Go to the Services tab, and uncheck Handsfree Telephony and Remote Control.

atomic harbor
#

that makes it able to play sound, but now the microphone doesn't work anymore

Thought that may be the case. I'd be looking at getting a proper headset. Any wired or wireless headset with a boom mic will likely sound better also.

atomic harbor
#

alright, thanks anyway
