To clearcoat or not to clearcoat graphite rub on metal LARP armor

I'm thinking of painting my LARP armor and doing a graphite powder rub on the gloss black, gray, white. Should I clear coat the armor after the rub?

I'm going to do test rins on metal nail plates with the black, gray, and white paints with graphite rubbed on the paint

I would suggest it. The graphite might want to come off with weather or wear. But always test to see what you like the look of best 🙂
