We've been looking at a project involving some leatherwork, and the joins are likely going to be under some amount of strain. We'd like to be able to get a decent array of thicknesses so that different methods could be tested on different bases. Is there a fairly simple and cheap way to do this? The material doesn't have to look particularly good, just provide a representative sample for testing rivets vs sewing for our purposes. Also if there's already a dataset on this somewhere that would also be very helpful.
Thanks!
