I don't recall a padded armour vid from Skill Tree, are you sure that's the correct YouTuber?

I would bet on it, but I'm really starting to question my sanity. The videos was by Cl3ver.

I searched through all their vids today and didn't see one of those.
I've been following for nearly 6 years and don't recall a padded armour one.
Kit has made a cloak from a blanket and armour from various things, but I don't remember a padded version
