Hiya I’m working on a sewing kit similar to the one Kit did but instead of leather tools I’m trying to find a way to attach a hanging dowel because I prefer to make sword tassels or really anything including embroidery thread and I plan on using the dowel as an anchor. Any ideas?

Can you give more info on how you'd use the dowel, exactly? Would it be for pull against while wrapping string/thread/yarns? Or would it be for spooling threads, strings, yarn?
Do you have any examples of the type of thing you're trying to achieve?
