Once I was done with my lamellar armor I had some leftover plates and started to mess around and combine them to see what I can make. So far I made them into demi-gauntlets and jack-chains. None of this stuff is historically accurate so I doubt that I'll make it a part of my outfit, but I figured it still looks nice for an anachronistic/fantasy common soldier armor.
It doesn't look as nice on the pictures, but I'm kinda proud with the gauntlet. It protects the back of my hand and extents over my metacatarpals when I close my fist, but doesn't affect mobility. I have pretty much the same mobility while wearing gloves regardless if the gauntlet is attached or not, which is great if I'm going for just the look but still want full mobility with my hands.
I'm aware that I should add another plate to the chains so it reaches the top of my shoulder but I didn't want to bother to find and de-grease another plate, so it is what it is. Also ignore the horrible method I used to attach them at the top, if this was a proper build it would be attached to dedicated arming points.
