Hello,

I am sending this message because I recently bought a drone equipped with an RX ELRS. Since I have a Taranis QX7 transmitter, I purchased a RadioMaster Ranger Micro ELRS module.
I updated the firmware of my transmitter and the RadioMaster to the latest version. I also added the elrsV3.lua file to my transmitter.
When I run the .lua file on my transmitter, the behavior is strange.
Sometimes it gets stuck on "Loading..." indefinitely.
Sometimes the script starts without any issues.
And sometimes I have to wait a few minutes.
So, I don't understand where the problem could be coming from.

Has anyone seen this before, please ?

have you done the crossfire/inverter mod on the QX7 as we have on our documentation?

reflash the ranger micro via uart/usb with erase before flash enabled

From what I understand, the QX7 transmitter is not recommended in this field 🙂 Which one would you recommend, please?

I've not had the QX7 so I can't say about its ergonomics
but there's the Boxer from RM, or Jumper's T14

T20 for a much slimmer profile..

there's the T15 too for colored screen, but still in that same form-factor

all of these have the ExpressLRS internal module versions

I'll try to get my QX7 working, and if it's impossible, I'll consider switching to another transmitter.

I ran the QX7 without an inverter mod, it wasn't great. With the mod it was ok but still not amazing

Hello @thorn glen @hazy cave ,

I was able to apply the advice you gave me yesterday, and I finally managed to get the ELRS module working on my transmitter. I noticed that when I powered my transmitter with batteries, I had power issues with the Radiomaster module, which were resolved by using a battery to power my transmitter.

this means your battery cannot sustain the power requirements of the module. either lower down the power level on the module or yeah, you can use an external/auxiliary 2s battery pack to power the module

depends on your flying habits or needs

e.g. if on your flights you're not really using 1W, then set it down to a reasonable level.. and use dynamic power
