Greetings of the day all,

I have refer this youtube video to flash my radio and receiver firmware

link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RFaq35QIysk

After doing all the steps properly I am first getting the issue with the ELRS module which I have attached externally on my radiomaster boxer m2 . the wifi update is done there and the lua script also but then I am not getting the page of the ExperssLRS page only it is showing Loading...

I am using the radiomaster ER8GV 2.4GHz ELRS PWM Receiver there also I am not able to flash the firmware after doing all the proper steps.

In the attachment I have attached the video.

Anybody can help me to solve this ASAP.

Thank you for your time.

set it to 5.25M if you haven't yet, via the hardware page of the system menu

expressLRS Ranger Micro

jolly arrow
#

then try and load the expressLRS lua script

swift cape
#

can you share the lua script and can you hepl me on how to load it on boxer m2...

jolly arrow
#

isn't that what I'm doing now?

#

or you can refer to the radio configuration guide we have on the website.. particularly the model setup and the baud rate config

swift cape
#

ok, I will refer it.

#

Can you check the ER8GV 2.4GHz ELRS PWM Receiver issue...

what does the LED on the tx module do when plugged into the external module bay of the radio?

#

the LED showing behind the radomaster Logo on the tx module

swift cape
#

Nothing it is green only

jolly arrow
#

what led color or blinking pattern can be seen here when the tx module is on the radio external bay?

swift cape
#

No, LED

jolly arrow
swift cape
jolly arrow
# swift cape Nop

plug in the module into usb, does the LED light up orange and blinks?

swift cape
jolly arrow
#

RIP

swift cape
jolly arrow
#

enable Erase Before Flash option

#

make sure UART_INVERTED is enabled/checked

swift cape
#

Ok

#

Process is done!

jolly arrow
swift cape
#

First it is red.

jolly arrow
#

without the usb plugged in

swift cape
#

Now it is green

swift cape
#

Working...

jolly arrow
#

now, your receiver
have you flshed it to latest firmwre as I have adviced?

#

did you set up your TX module with the same binding phrase as what you have on your receiver?

swift cape
#

I have tried with wifi one but at the end of the process it is going fail...

jolly arrow
#

did you unzip/extracted the gz file?

swift cape
jolly arrow
#

you extracted the gzip file and uploaded "firmware.bin"?

swift cape
#

I got directly firmware.bin file

jolly arrow
#

ah. right.. er8 is esp32-based

#

how good was the wifi connection to the receiver?

swift cape
#

It's er8v.

And It's close so the connectivity is strong.

jolly arrow
#

yes.. er8 series

#

retry..
if it still fail, try with your smartphone.
transfer the firmware.bin file into your phone first
connect the phone to the receiver's access point
upload from your phone's browser

#

also, there are times the popup would show a failure if the device have rebooted already and the webui didn't get the correct response about success upload

#

so check the receiver's webui banner if it did got updated

#

if it's already on 3.4.3, then just type in the same binding phrase you set on the TX into the binding phrase field in the model tab of the receiver's webui

swift cape
#

Like here it is showing that after flashing light should be blinking.

#

Before it is blinking yellow.

#

@jolly arrow Thank you for the help....

jolly arrow
#

if it's solid now, with the radio and tx module powered up, then they are bound..
check the lua script for a C in the top right corner indicating TX module and receiver is Connected

swift cape
#

Er8gv will work with DSM/SBUS RC or PPM RC?

#

I have tried with both but the motor is not rotate only...

jolly arrow
#

these are the only serial protocols supported..

#

you'll be connecting any device requiring serial connection into the serial port of the receiver.. with TX pin sending the signals

swift cape
jolly arrow
#

TX goes to RX
RX goes to TX

swift cape
#

The ER8GV ExpressLRS receiver typically has three wires:
Signal (S): This is the output for the receiver signal (usually labeled as S or RX).
Power (VCC or 5V): This powers the receiver, and it typically operates on 5V.
Ground (GND): Connect this to the ground

#

&

#

Connect the Receiver to the Pixhawk 4:

Signal Wire: Connect the Signal wire from the receiver to the RC IN (SBUS) pin on the Pixhawk 4. The RC IN port is located in the "DSM/SBUS RC" input section.

Power Wire (VCC): Connect the Power wire (VCC) from the receiver to a 5V pin on the RC IN or another available 5V power source from the Pixhawk 4.

Ground Wire (GND): Connect the Ground wire (GND) from the receiver to a Ground pin on the RC IN port or any ground pin available on the Pixhawk.

#

Likewise I have connected cables..

jolly arrow
#

this is the serial pins

#

TX will output which ever serial protocol you set it to in the webui or the lua script

#

RX will receive signals from a flight controller, depending on what protocol you set it to

#

(in case of CRSF)

swift cape
#

in the Pixhawk4 the "DSM/SBUS RC" have 5 pin's

Here is the pinout.

#

Now I have connected TX to the SBUS*

#

is it correct?

jolly arrow
swift cape
#

so if I give throttle command from the radio to the drone it should react to it right...

jolly arrow
swift cape
jolly arrow
swift cape
#

I have installed Copter V4.5.6 OFFICIAL

#

From Mission Planner

jolly arrow
#

the ardupilot docs have its section for the pixhawk 4 configuration

swift cape
#

This is the TELM port pin out

swift cape
#

so I have to connect TX to RX & RX to TX

jolly arrow
#

make sure to set CRSF as the output protocol on the receiver's webui

jolly arrow
#

maybe that's why it didn't work on SBUS as well since it's still using CRSF protocol
