So, I just updated my new RadioMaster Pocket to ELRS 3.3.2 and my new HGLRC Hermes 2.4 RX-T to ELRS 3.3.2 successfully.

I configured the receiver mode to Serial (via UART) and CRSF as Serial Receiver Provider in Betaflight on my GEP-F405-HD and the transmitter is binded to the receiver, led is stable and everything seems ok but sticks aren't reactive. I mean, I don't see anything in Betaflight when I use the throttle, what I'm doing wrong?

On the RadioMaster Pocket, model is set like this:
Internal RF is set to CRSF 5.25M, 250Hz, CH1-16, Receiver 00
External RF is off

HGLRC Hermes 2.4 RX is connected to SBUS on the GEP-F405-HD

I'm switching from FlySky FS-X6B to ELRS and I'm very excited, but I'm missing something

#

the manual says to set SBUS but since I'm using ELRS I set CRSF

#

And what VTX? If DJI, is the SBUS wire connected?

carmine token
#

it's a GePRC Mark 4 and I replaced the old FC with built-in VTX

#

now I'm using this GEP-F405-HD V2 and still not have a VTX/camera

#

I'd like to use it in LOS, maybe I'll mount an O3 in the future

#

are you sure? TX is the white one and is marked as T on both

misty thunder
#

Which is wrong

#

TX to RX, and RX to TX

#

TX talks, RX listens

carmine token
#

oh, it makes sense

#

now seems wired correctly

#

but still ded here

#

just switched Hermes RX Protocol from SBUS to CRSF but nothing changes

Your receiver is corrected to uart 5

#

Check SerialRX next to UART 5, and uncheck next to UART 6

carmine token
#

ok, done.

I had to enable Telemetry output again but still not working

#

it's set CRSF everywhere (betaflight, radiomaster tx and hermes rx)

heheee, it was the passphrase.

I thought the telemetry wouldn't even connect if they weren't the same.

I just changed them from the wifi panel and now it works
(dunno why I had to do this since I set the passphrase on both tx and rx before flashing).

Thanks a lot @misty thunder

misty thunder
#

Telemetry would not connect if the binding phrases didn't match

#

Glad you got it working though

carmine token
#

Now I'll do the same on my other quads and maybe I'll be able to finally sell my old Turnigy Evolution 🤣

carmine token
#

probably my fault

carmine token
misty thunder
#

What UART did you connect the receiver to?

carmine token
#

UART6, which I used previously with FlySky / SBUS

#

wires are ok now

misty thunder
#

Post a BF CLI dump and screenshots of the receiver's webui

#

Do you have a manual for this FC?

#

I don't think that plug is connected to a full UART. Solder the receiver to the pads on the right side

#

It looks like you have the receiver TX and RX wired to SBUS and 3.3v, which is wrong

carmine token
#

Thank you, I tried. Seems I messed up the receiver because it doesn't blimp anymore

carmine token
#

Ok great, there was a crushed pin in the FC

#

Now I soldered the Hermes receiver to UART6

#

The receiver has a stable red led when battery is connected, but any light when USB is connected

misty thunder
#

carmine token
#

not the best job, but they are soldered

misty thunder
#

The receiver is wired to a 5v pad that is only powered by the battery

#

So it will not power on via USB

carmine token
#

Oh, so that's why

#

Ok. But led is stable even if transmitter isn't on

#

Maybe I fried it? I leave it connected for 1 minute without the antenna

misty thunder
#

Are you sure there are no shorts in your wiring?

carmine token
#

It doesn't blink intermittently after 1 minute to enable wifi

#

There was but I fixed it

misty thunder
#

Disconnect the TX and RX wires and see if it blinks

carmine token
#

It blinks 😾

#

Damn.

misty thunder
#

Try T4/R4?

#

Or just solder carefully

carmine token
#

Ok, it works and I switched to UART4, enabled wifi to set the passphrase again just to be sure

#

the transmitter says telemetry recovered

#

dunno if I should use different models like with FlySky and Turnigy Evolution, because ELRS just relies on the passphrase (?), but probably yes

#

anyway on the RadioMaster Pocket I switched to another model

#

now I'll try to bind

#

also dunno why it says telemetry recovered if not binded, led isn't stable

#

Mmh. I enabled Model Match because it was saying Model Mismatch, now inputs are working except for Yaw

#

It's probably some setting on the RadioMaster

#

Yeah, it's not a delta but a drone. Awesome, it should work now

#

I just a cloned the model I configured previously and rebinded because I didn't remember how to enter that menu (drone/delta/heli)

carmine token
#

So happy, now I have two ELRS drones. I'll try em in the next few days, thanks V-22

carmine token
# misty thunder Your receiver is corrected to uart 5

Hi V-22,

I'm configuring DJI O3 on this GEPRC F405-HD and ELRS works on UART 5 with Serial RX is turned on, but the manual says to enable MSP on UART 5 too to make O3 fully operative.

Am i missing something? I can't set both Serial RX and MSP on same UART

misty thunder
#

Show photos of your wiring

#

You cannot have your receiver and VTX connected to the same UART

carmine token
misty thunder
#

The SBUS wire should not be connected to the O3

#

Take a better picture of the FC. What are the labels where you have the receiver and VTX plugged in?

#

Those tell you what UART they are

carmine token
misty thunder
#

So your VTX is on UART 1 and your receiver is on UART 5

#

And you are looking at the wiring guide for a different FC

carmine token
#

Damn that's the GEPRC F405-V1 manual and I have V2

misty thunder

Just !depin the wire from the connector
