#Happymodel EP1 RX binding mode problems

Using a Radiomaster Pocket ERLS TX and happymodel EP1 RX attached to Speedybee 405 stack v3. Got the RX into bind mode only 1 time, fast 2 green led blinks, but it never bound to TX. It just always goes to a slow green blink now. Tried multiple times to power on twice then leave power on 3rd time, it will never enter bind mode again. Have left the power on for more than a minute and it never goes into wifi mode either.

Have used the guides on the ExpressLRS.org site and still no luck. Checked my wiring and connections multiple times. Tried disconnecting the RX and TX from the receiver to the speedybee with just power and ground attached. Same results, just slow green blink. Unplugged vtx and camera, so only the stack and rx are connected. Even checked these connections for any shorts, and there are none.

Can talk to the speedybee 405 stack on my computer and configured using the betaflight. UART for serial rx is set to uart2.

Any guidance for me to check on something I may have messed up? Or Could it be a bad RX?

Check if the receiver is soldered in UART 2, if its not then in betaflight set serial rx on the UART where the receiver is. Also check if the version on the TX and RX is the same. If its not, flash it with the elrs configurator

The pads are good. Idk how to see the Rx version, but I would download elrs configurator and flash both the Rx and tx to the same version and use a binding phrase so that they bind automatically

#

There is a guide to all this in the elrs website

Post a photo of your FC and RX wiring please

Fix that for starts

Then follow this guide. Put a binding phrase in when you flash, will make it easier. https://www.expresslrs.org/quick-start/receivers/hmep2400/
Have you flashed the TX already?

ExpressLRS aims to provide the best completely open, high refresh radio control link while maintaining a maximum achievable range at that rate with low latency. Vast support of hardware in both 900 MHz and 2.4 GHz frequencies.

Don't enable home network, leave the wifi options default so the AP does appear next time

#

Since you're flashing this one, you'll want to flash your TX too

Before you cary on with the rest, post photos of your Ports and Receiver tab in BF quickly

# quick stump Ok, carry on from here https://discord.com/channels/596350022191415318/122292514...

How can I carry on? How do I get it in bind mode? I have done 2 power ons and then leave powered on 3rd time, will not go into bind mode. Have no idea how to get it in wifi mode as I can leave it plugged in for 60 seconds and it never goes fast flash showing in that mode. Have no way to see what firmware is installed. Are you suggesting I just do the betaflight passthrough to flash the firmware and see if that works? Then try to bind?

Flash the EP1 with ExpressLRS Configurator in Betaflight passthrough mode and enter in the Configurator the bind phrase your 2.4 GHz ELRS transmitter is also flashed with.
