#binding elrs to controller
67 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Hello i seem to be stuck i updated the fc to the latest betaflight and i cant get elrs to work on the fc
can you please give some particulars?
Idk what u mean by that but its a f411 flight controller my radio is a jumper t pro running elrs 3.0.01
which exact drone/fc and what receiver does it have?
I got a skystar double brass antenna
And the drone is a home build geprc f411 stable. Aio
then you need the receiver to be updated to the same firmware major version (3.x) as the tx
Ok and how would i do that i thought it was a simple solder
I mean as long as the radio was up todate
you can use this as a general guideline to get your receiver updated:

Ok
@late void sorry to bug but i seem to have ran in to a problem i cant get the wifi on the receiver to active i also tryed looking for it mainly but the http elrs rx wouldnt pop up on my browsers
This is were im stuck at
what does the LED on the receiver do?
Its solid
is it blinking rapidly indicating wifi mode?
has it ever blinked before when you powered it up?
you did soldered this receiver yourself to the FC, correct?
is that LED just dim?
can you verify the wiring please.. make sure none of the pads are shorting..
also, is it insulated from the conductive carbon frame?
It is not its zipp tyed right to it
Keep in mind this is my first build
And there no short i tested each borad separately and to gether with a multi meter
After soldering the test were conducted
can you verify the receiver is wired correctly then?
GND
5V
RX pin to a TX pad
TX pin to an RX pad
Now ill send u the diagram i followed
Yea i second
1*
i was told this was the same as elrs
disconnect the RX and TX wires of the receiver from the Fc and see whether the receiver LED will blink..
if that's the case, find a different uart to wire up the receiver to
you are plugging in LiPo or it powers up with just USB?
Usb
what about you plug in LiPo to see whether receiver would power up normally
is the button on the receiver being pressed?
by any chance, do you have an ftdi/uart adapter?
it's not yet dead..
but recovery for you right now might be tedious..
I would suggest getting a new receiver
and perhaps a UART/FTDI adapter
you will need to wire the new receiver into a different UART
insulate/isolate it from the conductive carbon frame when you mount it
ok
Any brand of receiver u recommend
Price dont matter just a good one with least problems
they all should work okay..
avoid JHEMCU and Flywoo and other off brands.. (non-verified hardware)
Ok
