#Semi dead Nazgul! Reflashed the board, no rec'r
72 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
The I-Flight Nazgul has ELRS. The lil quad was working great until I lost it yesterday in some grass, in a field...took 2 hours to find. I almost gave up...but I got lucky.
The box: Receiver: BNF/ELRS 2.4 Ghz SMD antenna
ESC: IFlight Blitz F411RX
FC: Blitz F4 !S 5A AIO Whoop V1.0 BMI270
Can you post a photo of the flight controller please?
which target did you flashed into it?
I'm only learning this now that iFlight has this.. unless it is a uart-based receiver off-board and their CLI doesn't have the ports and receiver settings set correctly for this particular variant
FC target is: IFLIGHT_BLITZ_411RX
that is what it looks like, but it not an actual photograph
i can't figure out how to load ELRS...
better if we can have an actual photograph of both sides..
Can you go into the CLI tab on BF
Actually go into receiver tab.. and is it using SPI or serial?
Serial and crsf
try setting it to SPI, and select ExpressLRS as provider
ok
@grizzled trout did you reflash this?
nvm.. I see the original question..
Dang iflight... @muted nexus time for a new post on facebook?
🤣
i dont think it should miss the stick inputs
4.3.2 is broken for ExpressLRS SPI
how about 4.3.1
read advisory above
ok, will flash 4.3.1
I hope the target is correct for this FC that you have..
most SPI elrs AIO uses the "sx1280" target..
this doesn't seem to follow that, or it could be the target info is outdated
lemme send ya another pic
seems to be the only info i get, cuz IFLIGHT has info....maybe the wrong sticker on the box.
only iFlight can answer that
this looks like it should work....but even the newer BetaFpv serial based look similar
i got a feeling when it landed in the grassy field and it took 2 hours to find it, something shorted on the board.....It did failsafe before it landed. The VTX and OSD works. The gyros and such work. Did not check the motors
ok, motors work. had BF hooked up and a battery.
2.5.0
Ok, the end results: I looked at Beta FPV Meteor65 Elrs procedure for Non-Spi updating. They put in bootloader mode for updates. All this time I was just trying to upload with the bypass, just plugging it in and not using BF.
So, I tried to hook directly to the ELRS Configurator, without bootloader. It acted like it wanted to work, but it didn't recognize any ELRS. Then I tried Bootloader, light went out...and it did end rather quickly. Both times, towards the end, the once bright red LED, was very dim.
You guys helped with my Flywoo issues and it worked. But this one seems dead. The ESC section and VTX work. And BF hooked up nicely.
I ordered another board yesterday. Can not wait to get. I can finally see what I am missing and back up everything...the CLI, the Target, etc
I would not ever buy SPI boards. Go with boards with serial elrs on board.
Also avoid hardware that we so not support.
I got a couple of those SPI boards. But these guys have Serial ELRS
I have never heard about this iflight board
Should be a good option
Ya, I thought it was weird. This little guy is fast and flew well, lol
So there a few unsupported companies! Is there a list of the ones you guys support?
Red flag..
No target on configurator
Maybe I should of gotten the FRSKY version. LoL
The Configurator has IFlight, but only RX and TX. One each
How do they get away with it? Pirate style?
You mean making hardware without working with us?
Yes
I mean we are opensource. They can do what they want.
We just cannot help their users
We try to warn elrs users on Facebook
Ohhh, snap
Thanks again, I will get the new board
Back every thing up and share with you guys.
I am gonna check that list in a minute
Well, I am happy I did buy Beta FPV now. I have both SPI and Serial boards. I really like Newbeedrone stuff and they released a Whoop with ELRS....gonna check it out soon
Yea they got a new whoop with serial rx with diversity.
Pretty solid so far. I am enjoying testing it out.
Once we get a few other devs a board to do some testing then we can add it to our supported hardware.
Currently you have to flash a matek target which uses the same generic rx target.
this actually looks like this.. which is SPI https://www.racedayquads.com/products/iflight-f4-1s-5a-toothpick-whoop-flight-controller-2-4ghz-elrs-w-ceramic-antenna?currency=USD&variant=39833358368881&gclid=Cj0KCQiA_bieBhDSARIsADU4zLfomHsXqGi2CuCgS_j46kmGCP6Ue2MPnMMwbRaYuX1lFydsEAZLTlMaAiuUEALw_wcB
@muted nexus
Yup, I just got that a couple days ago! Sunday was fun cuz after mounting the AIO FC, I had to set up everything in BF again minus PIDS. Come to find out, I had to reverse all the props from stock configuration. It flys ok, but nothing like beforehand. No joke, I left everything like the factory had it, but the props had to be reversed....
Ohhh, Target is IFlightf411rx1280
BF recognized the board but there was NO match.
I never saved the factory defaults either, like the diff or dump. The old board does have access for attaching another receiver.
If anybody has a bonestock Nazgul that was made around August/September of last year, I would love to have the CLI dump so I can reverse the props.
