First off, my other ELRS TX Nano Module from Happymodel works totally fine, but with this BetaFPV one the lua gets stuck at loading...
I tried v2.5.1 and latest 3.1.2, both flash successfully and the wifi hotspot works too but the lua doesn work at all.
There has been a bug report, but their workaround doesn't work on my end.

Which module is it exactly? Can you show the ELRS Configurator options you used to flash?

its a BetaFPV 2400 TX Nano

brave trout
#

Can you flash successfully via USB?

gleaming obsidian
#

yes, I can flash it just fine over USB and wifi

brave trout
#

How are you getting it into WiFi mode if the lua doesn't load?

gleaming obsidian
#

I plug it in and wait 60 seconds

brave trout
#

So it's not connected to the handset

#

Do you have a model loaded with internal rf set to off and external rf set to crsf?

#

!externalrf

The following image shows ideal settings for external RF

gleaming obsidian
#

yes, as said my happymodel module works fine

Open up the TX module and make sure no pins are broken/disconnected

gleaming obsidian
#

oh ok

brave trout
#

It's acting like the S.Port pin is not connected

#

Assuming the module lights up when plugged into the radio

#

If it was receiving a response from the radio on the SPort pin it wouldn't go into wifi mode

gleaming obsidian
#

pin 4 is connected to that small smd thingy so I cant check if it is connected all the way through

#

but all other pins are properly connected through a cable to the main board

#

oh and I cant seem to beep through pin 5 either

brave trout
#

You're only concerned with the bottom three pins

#

VBat, GND, and SPort

#

If the module is powering up in the bay, it's the SPort pin that is questionable

gleaming obsidian
#

those 3 yellow ones are connected to cable pin 1, 2 and pin 3 is on cable pin 4 & 5

#

I don't see anything wrong with the board

#

except maybe they could've used more solder

gleaming obsidian
#

no

#

but the issues are all on BetaFPV modules

#

also the button on the module to change output pwr isn't working anymore since I flashed to elrs 3

brave trout
#

Have you flashed your module back to 3.0.1 and confirmed that fixes it?

gleaming obsidian
brave trout
#

Then it's not the same issue

#

What is your hardware baud rate set to?

gleaming obsidian
#

I know that at least the button on the module was working before, but unfortunately I never checked if the module itself was working before I flashed it

Hi, in order to get mine working I had to use betaflight Passthrough. use ExpressELRS 1.5.3 because Newest Version is Bugged

#

that seems to be the onlyway

#

also you're flashing Micro and not NanoRX

#

if you have the Nano you need to Use the NanoRx Version on ELRS Config 1.5.3

#

working as of 1am this morning @gleaming obsidian

gleaming obsidian
swift lantern
#

did you try 1.5.3

#

oh u mean the configurator is bugged?

#

swift lantern

I had to Flash 2.5.1 First
