#DARWINFPV Tiny Ape Freestyle won't bind to Radiomaster Zorro ELRS

I am using the basic 'Zorro' profile on my TX and I have set CSRF in the Internal Rx (I have also tried other profiles but it does not help). But when I attempt to bind, nothing happens. I have also had problems with flashing the Zorro, as it was failing every time I flashed it. However I think I managed to flash it over WiFi but I'm not 100% sure (Maybe I need to try flashing again?).

I'm quite lost and I'm not sure what I have done wrong, as I am new to ELRS.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

using the ExpressLRS Lua Script on the Tools Menu, what firmware version is showing for the internal rf module (last line or second to the last line)

#

Also, what betaflight firmware version is on the Tiny ape?
you can find this from the Betaflight Configurator CLI tab, by executing the command version

(System Menu -> Tools, ExpressLRS Lua Script, select it and press enter. scroll down to the last line)

here's the thing
betaflight 4.3.1 only supports ExpressLRS 2.x

you then have two options:

  1. reflash your Zorro to 2.5.1 (which ever flashing method you chose)
  2. reflash your whoop flight controller to betaflight 4.4-RC (save a diff all backup first)
(betaflight 4.4 has the 3.x compatibility)

https://www.expresslrs.org/3.0/hardware/spi-receivers/
Flight controllers with built-in ELRS SPI receivers are not flashed using ELRS Configurator, the ELRS firmware is "baked in" to Betaflight. Thus to update your ELRS firmware, you'll need to flash the latest version of Betaflight for your FC. Betaflight 4.3.x is compatible with ELRS v2.x.x, and Betaflight 4.4.x is compatible with ELRS v3.x.x.
To set a binding phrase on a SPI receiver, enter it here and paste the resulting code in the Betaflight CLI: https://www.expresslrs.org/3.0/hardware/spi-receivers/#binding-phrase

All-in-one Flight Controllers were released with ExpressLRS receivers using SPI connection.

The Flashing Guide is here:

ExpressLRS aims to provide the best completely open, high refresh radio control link while maintaining a maximum achievable range at that rate with low latency. Vast support of hardware in both 900 MHz and 2.4 GHz frequencies.

I tried flashing the FC, but I got the 'Failed to open serial port' error - do I need to install drivers?

The flash was successful but it is telling me to select an esc/motor protocol. Which one do I use?

but if you save your diff all, you can just apply it directly via the CLI
