Hi there. I need help for fixing one of my friends old no-oled 2.4g tx. I first tried to upload 3.0 firmware but failed . And then I tried to update backpack to 1.1.0, from wifi the GUI told that it was a wrong firmware that I chose . And I used uart method to flash it and succeed. But, it won't work anymore, I can't find the wifi ssid of it anymore, It can't be flashed back to 1.0. what could be wrong

if not, then you can update it from the radio itself..

yes I will do it right now #

#

still the same#

#

my friend's radio is a smaller one

#

tx12s

south pewter
#

let me get mine, and flash my module with the tx12

hidden star
#

so you got a no-led namimno tx?

south pewter
#

my tx12 is on EdgeTX2.7.1 though

hidden star
#

ok

south pewter
#

my gen1 namimno is already in 3.0, and i'm gonna flash it to 3.0.1 via radio (tx12, edgetx 2.7.1)

#

have you updated the backpack

south pewter
hidden star
#

How did you do that..

south pewter
#

wifi update

hidden star
#

Do I need to set a binding code for it before compiling

south pewter
#

for which device?

hidden star
#

Backpack

south pewter
#

easiest method to bind expressLRS devices together is the bind phrase

hidden star
#

I can't understand why there is a binding phrase option for backpack. when I use wifi to update it it says the wrong firmware

south pewter
#

made a vid of the 3.0.1 firmware update of my namimno Gen 1 module

note: tx12 mk2 on edgeTX2.7.1
have to rename the filename so it wasn't long else, radio will not "see" it

south pewter
#

the backpack is a different device from the actual tx module

#

Is there anyway that , I could fix my backpack

south pewter
#

fix? you can flash it via ftdi using the pins at the bottom left of the module

#

my Gen 1 module

hidden star
#

By default that method wont mork

south pewter
#

have you tried it?

#

because I did..

hidden star
#

Configurator and VS can't find the port

south pewter
#

hold up.. which one do you actually want to fix?

hidden star
#

And I have to solder the pad inside to flash it

south pewter
#

the tx module
or the
tx backpack?

hidden star
#

Both actually.

#

But now I just want to fix the backpack

south pewter
#

I didn't have to do any soldering on my module to flash the tx backpack via ftdi..

hidden star
#

It's not mine so I have no idea what happened to this module

#

Is there a way to do a "factory reset"?

#

I will figure it out . Thanks for your help.

south pewter
#

reflashing the backpack via ftdi is "factory reset"

#

(that's how they were flashed from factory)

hidden star
#

The weird thing is . I have to connect tx from Ftdi to Tx again on the module

south pewter
#

uhm, unless your ftdi adapter is labeled weird, you're suppose to connect tx to rx, and rx to tx..

#

tx transmits while rx receives

hidden star
#

The ftdi I use it almost every day

#

there are two pins I have to do shorten to GND , io0 and reset

south pewter
#

io0 probably.. shorted to ground..

hidden star
#

now I hope it is not a prototype..

south pewter
#

why did it need fixing?
