A Long-Awaited Collab Event, Only to Miss What Was Awaited.

Hearing the news that Devil May Cry 5 was collaborating with Punishing: Gray Raven got me really excited, especially after seeing the combos, movesets, and everything else that looked incredibly accurate or identical to the original. I was truly impressed and surprised at how serious and committed Kuro Games was in executing this collaboration.

Eventually, I decided to install the game after completing the endgame content of its sibling title, Wuthering Waves.

I started learning how to play the game by watching tutorials made by PGR content creators on YouTube. The mechanics and combos were much more complex than those in Wuthering Waves, but still extremely fun and challenging. After a while, I began to get used to it, doing dailies day by day while collecting Black Cards and exchange items for R&D Research.

Finally, the long-awaited day arrived. I immediately went to pull for the character Vergil, but to my shock, I couldn’t pull him because the Event Tickets I had couldn't be used in the R&D Collab. It turned out that the R&D Collab had its own specific ticket: the DMC Ticket.

It was my mistake, really. The day before, I had hastily exchanged my Black Cards for regular Event Tickets without watching the official livestream, the official announcement video, or reading the in-game details. As a result, I mistakenly assumed that the regular Event Tickets could be used for the Collab character pulls.

It’s such a heartbreaking feeling, to wait for something for so long, only to end up not getting what you were waiting for. But what can I do? The damage is done😹. And I’m sorry, this is purely a vent from a new player like myself. As an apology for my lack of knowledge, I’m choosing to step down as a Commandant🙏. I sincerely hope this game continues to succeed and keeps innovating to become even better. Farewell, everyone👋.

Why don't you complete some quests or challenges? Maybe you'll have time to get them before the time runs out.

It seems that even if I complete all the quests or challenges in this latest patch version, it still won’t be enough to obtain both Dante & Vergil along with their weapons and cubs. I had intended to get everything, but since I already exchanged almost all of my Black Cards for regular Event Tickets, it now feels impossible to get them all. It’s quite sad, but no matter what, what’s done is done🗿.

It’s a bit sad to see a new player like you go through such a disappointing experience. You waited for something you loved, only to be let down by that very thing. Perhaps out there, there are other new players who went through the same, some chose to stay, while others gave up.
If this is truly your decision, then it’s your choice to make. Even so, don’t be disheartened. Keep your spirits up. Maybe your happiness simply isn’t here, but somewhere else waiting to be found.
