As of now,it seem PGR revenue seem at lower end(sources:sensor tower) and its worrying to know that pgr isn't doing so well profiting.
Either make beginner more rewarding and give them access for meta lineup character as permanent rewards (for example the best time beginner to join this year is at balter patch,but it's rewards limited to the patch-insta meta physical lineup)
Enhance player lore wise experience by adding memorable cg animation for important moment,adding quality dubbing for in game story text and maybe animated facia

More QoL updates ig which is ongoing,anyway good luck for pgr future.
Perhaps last month Bambi patch isn't enticing for player too spend. Again being so f2p friendly gacha come with pro and con,use it too your advantages ig.
Here a easy solution, just add more fan services design for character outfit,easy money...
