I know Kuro is a bit of a small company but also the GRAYRAVENS post on Twitter felt a little embarrassing. Idk what is going on over there with the translating team but it rlly looks like everything is being machine translated sometimes. Maybe hiring a few outside talents for translations would be good? Or at least invest or try a bit harder when it comes to them.

Wuthering Waves is going to be released on a large scale in multiple different languages at the same time…it’s a bit worrying if this is the way translations are being carried out when its only one server (aside from KR TW and JP. IDK if they r good over there.)

In addition to this, the translations on global have been terrible for over 2 years, since it released globally. Please work a bit harder on translation. Although people like to meme on it, it’s not funny at all. You’re a company producing games, no one is going to want to play your games if they can hardly understand anything that’s going on in it or if the english is all broken.

It’s highly unprofessional and honestly quite insulting to the player-base, it gives off the impression that you guys simply don’t care about global. I pray u guys actually look at the feedback posted here and work on this. If this similar pattern continues for WW than the game is basically done for. No one wants to read broken english over and over again.

I do think Kuro should get some good proofreaders for sure

#

These typos are funny but they’re constant enough to be an actual problem

#

what really bothers me is how no one with access to the glb cbt actually proofreads the story

#

Kuro should hire proofreaders if they haven’t already, this patch was arguably more egregious than some previous patches

#

It’s still very readable, but it would be greatly appreciated if the typos were fixed prior to release- Kuro does occasionally visit prior stories and content and fix them, but it would be nice if that could happen before the update LivEh LivEh LivEh

#

Kuro’s improved a lot for sure but that doesn’t mean they can’t improve more

#

suppose we should all keep a typo doc for this sort of thing

I tried to keep records but gave up at one point, they're usually not as egregious as this one so I thought it wasn't worth it.

I should start now honestly, just for archival purposes. This isn't 1st year PGR anymore, we're entering our 3rd year and mistakes like this still happen? At best, unprofessional, at worst, ammunition to (rightfully) criticise Kuro for handling this so badly.

I know the typos are bad but I didn't know it was this bad in Bambinata patch💀

#

For gods sake, the patch is about her and yet they butchered her nameLuciasad

It’s really irritating because idk if there is anywhere else that’s more effective for contacting them about this kind of stuff. Idk what their plan is for WW translations but it’s not going to turn out well for them if these type of mistakes just keep constantly popping up in WW which will have WAY more text than PGR global sooner or later.

The bianca patch was like this too and makes reading the story such an annoying process. Noone is gonna take them seriously as a company or wanna play their games in they can’t even get their crap together for translations

Didn't do the story yet (only two nodes) and it's a bit worrisome. I don't mind some typos cause that can happen, nobody is perfect after all, but since 2 or 3 patches it seems to be worse with more issues being seen.

I don't mind the memes of "global can't read" and I guess "Kuro can't read/write" either but yeah, I hope they improve on that for past and future content so that it can be read for those that can and want to read as I would prefer not reading broken English (or any languages for that matter).

I can assure it is not machine translated. These days AI translations are excellent

I will add- stop using localization studios overseas, if you are doing so. Do it in-house, the quality will improve drastically. Companies like Keywords studios prioritize business based on weird metrics, and are essentially sweatshop environments / black companies
