Some bugs appeared in the interface after the update, black cards are shown behind the interlude screen, cut text and the give cogs button disappeared as can be seen in the images.

There are serious UI file bugs in this update that are clashing with older UI files and are causing various problems, you can fix most if not all of them by clearing the cache, then the storage, then uninstalling, and then reinstalling.

After reinstalling gave you this issue? Then at that point I'd say you'd have to wait for a patch.
You might want to mention your specific phone and operating system so they know.

No problem, I reported more due to the lack of the button to give cogs and then I added other things that I noticed.
