Between Palefire leap, as well as upcoming Hyperreal release and eventual BRS collab players will finally have access to ample fire attacker options, so that fire teams will no longer be 'Empyrea or bust'. Except they will, since A-rank fire support is a bit, uh... way overdue for a touch-up, let's say.

The way I see it, her entire kit strongly suggests swapping her in, so the bare minimum she needs is a burst damage spike that temporarily surpasses Palefire's average dps to make it worthwhile. Enough off-field energy generation (via her core) to make 'x2 QTE + swap-in + matrix ping + ult' rotation sustainable at SS would be pretty high on the priority list, too.

As for lvl 9 and 18 leap gimmicks, the three that immediately come to mind are thus:

  • Double-dashing (same as Empy core activation) towards an energy ball makes Sophia jump to it from far away (dive roll animation maybe?) and spin, firing all four barrels in a circle for aoe damage. This reduces time used and increases the reward for going after the balls instead of just staying in place and dpsing.
  • Red missiles have longer range and aoe splash damage. Burning DoT as well, maybe?
  • Blue scattershot does the more damage the closer the enemy is.

Which leaves 3 more features to add, so ideas are welcome.

The double dashing sounds like Palefire's ult but faster?

I mean after double dash, the way you described it

Hmm, I think a leap would be nice, however I also think she could just plainly use an S construct. As for the leap, it's somewhat difficult since she wants to be on the field, but at the same time she's supposed to be the Fire support. She can actually do solid dmg if built, but her support is lackluster, which is bad since that's her "job". So idk which way a Leap should go for her tbh.
