All omniframes owned by the player have their shards available for purchase in PPC except for Nier.

Without the ability to by shards, spending **resources **(cards/tickets) on character you cannot continue to grow (learn new skills via rank, etc) effectively results in a wasteful use of account-limited resources.

The nier constructs will eventually be outpaced by the other (trainable) constructs you own and also by newer constructs in the meta; this discourages spending on the collab period and encourages skipping out instead.

||Lastly, I don't think that having purchaseable shards for previous owners will hurt collab sales, as explained below.||

Longer version

My reasoning, if explaination is needed to address any concerns about implementing this as a feature:

As I've said elsewhere, any collab has a limit of how much it can be done. Kuro can always specify the collab is running one-time only, or that this will be the last time it runs. But that's probably not necessary since it only happens once a year, and probably not even every year at that. I doubt anyone assumes a collab will re-run; they don't even think about that. Just that it's here for the moment, never has been before, and will soon disappear.

The only expectations anyone would have are based on CN, and afaik Kuro's never given guarantee of future Nier re-runs. Kuro can time the appearance of collabs between CN and Global anyhow, to avoid unwanted expectations. For example: not having a second CN run until Global has had its first, etc. Shouldn't be hard since it's once a year at most.

Ordinarily, people can be patient by waiting for PPC shards to come weekly over time, combined with R&D shards as they have the chance of getting dupes via Base R&D, Arrival Construct, and S-rank selectors.

People spend a lot to even get the character (can't get PPC shards without owning the character first), and you won't ever get R&D duplicates in the future, so any one who wants to be competitive with the character (whales) within a decent timeframe would dump money on the collab character while it's temporarily featured regardless of the presence of PPC shards. Meaning Kuro still gets their moneypit.

I still don't expect them to implement PPC shards for collab characters, but they honestly should, as otherwise the result is that you own a character stunted for growth; it cannot continue to be taught new skills/stay relevant. You have limited resources in PGR in the form of black cards, research tickets, and hypertune. Investing them in a character who is sooner to be out-performed by more newer or more traininable constructs (PPC shards etc) is a bad investment, and discourages some people from spending on the collab character to begin with. It's like how some people skip out on certain banners or consider their account "bricked", but at a more obvious risk.
