when launching the PC client from either the launcher or .exe, the game will not load and shortly says "PGR.exe is not responding". Turning on win8 compatibility doesn't fix this for me

Same here, instead of black screen mine's white. I've tried running as admin & turning on win8 thingy in the properties, not helping.
Reinstalling, restarting my PC, didn't help.
I did wanted to email my game long to Kuro however i don't see any of them in my log folder, the ones i've got are the old Beta logs...

update for me: i can consistently get it running if i leave the launcher open for like 5 mins or more before pressing launch

update: have noticed that the launcher will check for files
right below the "enter" button
for about five minutes
before it disappears
or above.. cbf 
but still.. to no avail, game is still black screen

do you have an emulator, i sometimes find that if i do all the steps above with an emulator running it works
