With ever increasing character effects, we need a camera option that changes the camera distance from the player.

Absolutely agree and was about to suggest the same.
The Combat feels already pretty decent in the Action Mode you get into by pressing the "Y" Key.
But the Camera Distance in the Action Mode is way to close compared to the Standard Mode, you basically only see a bunch of effects and in between your Character and the Enemy you getting hits from cuz you didn't see him attacking. ^^
So, moving your Camera further away from the Character + lock the distance would increase the Gameplay Experience already by a lot!
