I did this greyscale and when I tried to block colours I just couldn't make it look good, I am welcome to any criticism and i understand that my question is abstract too

Overall really pretty drawing so far! Im not an expert but here are my tips, basically don’t be afraid to use darker colours, and use references even just for lighting. For colour I’m not sure what program you use but overlayed slightly lowered opacity gradient maps can look really nice and help you get a feel for the colours. I’d also reccomend tweaking the anatomy just a small amount to even out the proportions like the legs and shoulders. also heres a colour shading cheat sheet I use, hope this helps!

overpainted a bit and had fun on your composition, don't hesitate to push shadows further and make silhouette readable from far so the main subject detaches itself easily when you read the picture
