How do is start making my art pieces more interesting?

i feel like my all of my artworks feel bland and unoriginal so can someone tell me how to make more creative pieces?

a lot of my inspiration comes from my past and dreams, i like to dramatize things and portray emotion or visualize something like music being a visual art but in color, form, or subject.

Find a random word generator and base your characters/landscapes off of them. My brain's farted out some cool stuff that way.
