hello! so, from what i could see in this, the difference is mostly the distance from the perspective points, i kinda traced a perspective grid from the facial features in both and his vanishing points are more or less at the same distance from the head, while your third point above is way too far, wich gives less distortion, and the other two at the horizon are like in the pic.
if you change it so it matches the reference that will lead you to having a more stretched lower part and more compressed top of the head. it will also fix the angle of the head "slices" as long as you align the facial features correctly.
i picked the black sketch wich is prob your earlier try from those so i wont talk about the eyes or nose perspective since it seems like you corrected those in the green sketches
the left green ish perspective aproximation, its much better since the points are more evenly spaced and closer
