First things first - and I hope this is not to unsugar coated for you - the clothes are simply too flat. A real pair of shorts would simply not stick to you in that way. A jacket would not fall that straight.
But the folds you drew actually look great. I think you have that down pat; it's just making sure the clothes rest naturally on the body.
So how should it be like then?
take a look. See how none of his clothes are stuck to his body?
And if your intention WAS tight shorts or something, you need a way to communicate it's form. In this picture you can see the shadow bending around this lady's leg to show that it isn't one flat piece of cardboard between her leg and the camera.
This makes sense
So my shadows (or the lack thereof) aren't giving the illusion of depth
