How do I make the eyes less "dull"/bored"?

As said in the title, these eyes i drew are ok, but theu look lifeless and dull. How do I fix this?

Outline the pupil more, shade the top of the pupil dark and leave the bottom Abit lighter. Don't forget highlight in the eyes

U could also change the shape of the eyes to make it have more emotion
