#I’m finding rendering incredibly difficult

how did you do the lighting intially for this scene?
with bigger scenes like this involving more characters usually revolves around how you want to tell the story and what its about. making them interact is already a plus. Now just got to figure out how to use lighting to your advantage to tell the story
Before tackling a rendering drawing/sketches, i would figure out the following things:
story
background
lighting
how each character should interact with each other and with the background.
Then find good references to execute the following idea you have to make a very cohesive rendering. If not, youre just winging it and i know allll too well what happens when you wing an rendered illustration😂. Roughly 60% of a illustration comes from the preparation of the illustration, not the actual rendering
something you should think about is the expressions of the girls. Should the blonde lady have more hazy and half closed eyes indicating that she boutta drop the bucket? Or maybe the demon lady should have a more intense anger if she is staring at the person/thing that killed the blondie or have a more intense sorrow and staring at the blondie.
For clothes becareful of being too uniformed on the folds, separate them from large/medium/small to create more interesting folds. A how to draw clothes folds would work too!
for the context/story: There's a dragon attacking the city, Rabin (the one with horns) just teleported her (the blonde one) away from the main combat and she's holding her close to protect her from more harm in the burning fields
