I’m trying to fokus on my fundemtal skills like proportions. And my line quality. Coud I do this as a black ans white “ sketch” style instead of fully rendered ?

I think both are helpful! if you want to focus more on proportions I would stay with sketching. Pay attention to how many lines u are using to capture each proportion and try to reduce them, it will help with line confidence and line quality overall
fully rendered piece would be good for practicing textures, accurate shading and edge control so up to you if you want to try that as well!

Thanks ! I do Need to practice both but I think my sketch and line skills are worse off so imma try and fokus on that for this one !!

The first one I tried sketching without using liquify, the second is a more refined sketch were I did use liquify. I’m trying to mimic how I woud sketch in a sketchbook just digitally as I think it will inprove my hand aye coordination not to use so many digital tools in my prosses when I’m studying. My gole is to get cleaner sketches that are accurate and faster. @devout valve what can I inprove on ?

The last actual portrait (trad) I was working on was last month. Ive been distracted working on form/perspective lately. Posting to obligate myself to sharpen this skill back up. Look forward to seeing everyone!

Thought of doing a digital art soon! Please tell me if something feels off. Also thanks to yor koi. I learnt a lot from prokos video.

Not a professional or anything but the facial features are shifted slightly too mutch to the left making the skull shape look too small the face also goes more in by the ayes. Hope this helps !! If u wanna check your proportions traditionally a trick is to take a picture of your drawing and layer it onto the image in a drawing app or editing program ! There u can see what parts needs adjusting.
