Sorry this tracing is hard to see haha
Ok, so far, the shading looks really good, but there are a few anatomical points that you might want to touch up on.

  • the left leg looks good! However, the right leg is a bit too long for where it should be located on her body. I recommend you first map out where her hip should be before covering it with the skirt, that way you can find where both legs should go without as much hassle.
  • the arm looks good, but it’s a tad bit low. If you move the shoulder up more towards where the face is, it should be more accurate.
  • Also, the torso could be correct already so use your own judgement for this, but I traced where I believe the rib cage and torso should be based on what you’ve drawn. Like I said, you could be correct, because it’s a little hard to tell because of the clothes, so it’s your choice to make :)
That’s all the critique I had for this piece. I really love the way you drew the clothing and stockings, it’s so fun! A_A_stars

Oh, I forgot to mention, when drawing the waistband for the dress, keep in mind that the hips area is round, so the waistband would curve around the body more :)

How much structural sketching do you usually do before inking?

So the skirt is physically longer in the front vs the back. Judging from the rest of the outfit this is Alice from Alice in Wonderland. Skirt styles for young girls back then did not have that going on. For little girls it stayed the same length around. I do recommend doing a tiny bit of sketching just to get the general shape down. Not to worry about details

Skirts have evolved in style over time. A skirt in 1670s england is not the same as skirts today

(Ik alice in wonderland doesnt take place in 1670. Im just using it to show a drastic difference across time)
