I'm trying to do a character animation in adobe animate but idk how I could start or speed up the process without changing the fps of the animation, I could draw in twos and try and add key frames but what I'm most worried about is the results/quality. I used to draw a lot of comics before so digital drawing especially animation is very new to me but Ik the 12 principles and how to apply them I just really need help getting it started/overcoming the fear of failure when it doesn't somehow look good

30fps 😭 I would start by bumping that down to 25 or 24 (standard fps for animation and film), especially if you haven't begun drawing yet
Before you start animating, what you can do is make a style-frame, which is just an illustration of what the animation should look like. Usually for a short, simple animation you generally wouldn't need this, but you might find it comforting to have a clear end goal visually.
That being said, you just have to start animating—when you start your roughs, they are not locked in and can be changed! You can't really 'fail' unless you end up scraping the whole project, and even then if you keep the file you can just pick it up again in the future with hopefully more expertise but you can only get experience in something by doing it, it might not end up looking how you want in the end, but if you can identify that then it means you are learning!
Wishing you the best of luck 💖
