How do you simplify a nose ???

I just draw the edge of the nose to simplify it (I would've make a drawing to explain but I can't rn ;-;)

Mmh a line could work but like how I do it is like : take the shape of a real nose and draw the part that is facing outwards

When I get back home we can talk bout it more if you wanna cuz my explanations are so bad lol

I found these nose studies i did last year
im doubting if i should do a new one since its busy this week

amazing work! I like these type of studies because u can truly focus on stuff that is usually forgot during construction of whole portrait. the bottom one in black and white study is the best so far however next time try to check construction of nose wings, from other angles it is a bit off

@real jasper I'm having trouble getting the perspective right with the weirder angles. Do you have any advice or tips regarding that?

helloo try more simple angles first, this one is pretty hard to start with

hi, definitely work with guidelines
you can even draw into reference first so u can figure out some angles and measurements. I think the most tricky part is to keep the angles of those guidelines accurate first. for example we can make a line across both nose wings and nose bridge and see the angle that is going on there. now you can measure more things from that (the most common mistake would be drawing the guidelines straight and that will distort the whole perspective)
