Found some very helpful tips by JayRam (JayRam Draws on yt) so I will use them for this week's study
treat them more like tips, not step by step tutorial

While I was getting the idea of the shape of the hand I accidentally made the pointer finger and the thumb have the same kuckle joint qwq

how do you learn to create hands w foreshortening from imagination?

like for eg, when making a composition you want to make a person holding the phone towards the camera, is it recc to just keep making hands?

im not very experienced tbh but if u want my opinion to me it looks like the palm is just missing, like connecting to the wrist straight up

i say it cause arms/wrists look like this

Tried using balls and cylinders to place fingers, but got uneasy feeling anyway

I don't understand how to stylize hand

You see, I

ve tried to

make hand more stylised and elegant

for stylized hands the shapes stays the same but you can play with the construction and size of them, for example once u get a hang of those shapes (box for palm and finger construction with cylinders) you can make conscious decisions what needs adjustments to make it more to your liking. here are some examples from pinterest, for example u can use rectangles instead of cylinder for shapes to make it more angular etc

for more elegant look I would check the finger proportions and make them longer than they are on real hands - example from pinterest

When fingers are closered together the fingers should converge and look closer together.

When you bring your fingers together they come from the palm. Fingers don't branch off very close together. They have some space between them like a pinky tip's space between them. And fingers get a little thinner from base to tip. Basically this means that when you close your fingers together they your hand doesnt become a long rectangle it looks more like a leave with a blunt tip.

The palm might be bigger. But it looks very accurate.

And some of the hands need more weebing to show the point at which the base of the finger meets the palm.

The longest section of the finger.

What I mean is the webbing would help it look more real. The bone itself is actually pretty long (The same length at the rest of the finger combined.). But a lot of it is lost to the webbing (About a third.)

But no I was talking about the biggest red bone on each finger.

One more massive tip... Don't take that out of context.

Use refrences, specifically anatomical references.

Also 'Excal's art tips' (Youtuber) will help with getting the anatomy on point.

Just want to point out for those who are/were drawing this one hand pose (currently doing mine as well). To look closer at knuckle placement. Since I have seen multiple do the same curve direction of the knuckles, so just want to point it out 🤓
