Since nobody's responded here, I will.

While I'm not really allowed to mkae money off my art (Not allowed to make a bank accoint or anything bc it's "unecessary"), one of the ways I've heard is not doing a set price but instead pay yourself for every hour you spend on the work. Let's say you decide to pay yourself 9$ per hour of work, and you work in the piece for three hours in a day, making it 27$.

Just one way I've heard.

Hi, thank you very much for responding, while the idea of getting paid by the hour is the usual option, I don't really like that idea very much, because I've made more than $27 for one art, I guess what I'm saying is my art is not worth $27, not anymore I went from a cartoon art style to a western comic book style, plus doing the anatomy, muscle etc. takes more skill than drawing with a cartoony art style

Thank you very much for responding btw! I appreciate it, a lot!

That rule is more of a get an idea of a scaling but that should only be used by people who make a living off their art who have done comms for a long time and have made a name for themselves. Like in my area $23 is considered a livable wage which i do feel my time is worth but i definitely wouldnt charge people that much and ill explain in a bit. If i take 5 hours to finish a piece that makes it be $115 in the final drawing. I definitely wouldnt be considered worth that much near the beginning. For the future i recommend figuring out pricing in advance rather than after youve gone a ways into the piece or even almost done. Have figured out all your rates and what you will charge for what so people know what to expect and that you will not move on the prices
