I honestly I can't grasp what's wrong in this, it just look off. though I know it's pretty flat and I need help with that.

There some proportional issues here with the drawing. The shape of the head is a bit on the larger size too. The ears and eyebrows are high ears should end by along line of the bottom of the nose. To fix the flatness, understanding the planes of the face would help as it can inform how you shade.
