Hey, I made this art for an original OC and would like help with the background, colors, lighting, etc. I feel like it's really bad. It's still a very early draft and I want to put more things around it, but what's making it difficult for me is the color scheme, contrasts and lighting, Can someone help me? Tips, doodles on my art are welcome!

If you're trying to follow LoL's style then try making sure there's a foreground, middleground and background element in the image. Right now there's now foreground.

Also while better lighting might help the scene just isn't very dynamic or exciting. It's shockingly normal, with the lighting being the least normal, even the ladder isn't at an angle just almost dead on.

Change the camera angle, avoid twinning (one side of the body mimics the other) and maybe put a bit of storytelling elements in there (not just objects posing, emotion and spotlighting owkrs too).

I thought you said "doodles of my art". That's what the right thing is.
