I'm looking for an effective way of learning the fundamentals of art. Still life seems to be the best way to go, but there are so many things that I could be learning from it, like form, light & shadows, textures, I don't know where to start and how to start.

Usually you'd wanna focus mainly on just 1 or 2 principles for each study or if you're just doing a general copy then section them out into different stages so you don't get overwhelmed

Still lifes can be helpful however it can be incredibly difficult if you dont know how to use still lifes. I dont really know how to explain it tho. But for now i really just recommend to follow either proko’s fundamentals series or use drawabox to improve your fundamentals
