For structure practice I think u should keep very clean simple lines so u know if the perspective is correct, and also doing alot of cross contours to make sure u understand the form. Good luck 🙂

It's better to not use rulers, but practice drawing long straight lines and ellipses etc. U will also not become dependent on them (always need rulers long enough of the right ellipse), and the lines will be lighter which will help it the stages after the construction, and anything u will draw will have perspective at the beginning so rulers will just be kinda clumsy? That's what I heard but u can do some research🤷‍♀️
