Hello! Realistic styles really isn't my forte but I'm doing this for a school project. I based this off Mana Sama(picture below) and something just feels off about idk what please help. For the clothes I kind of just randomized bc I was having trouble drawing all the ribbons😓

you seem to be struggling to shade darker. are you scared of going dark?
if you are, then id suggest put down a layer of graphite first. this sets the mid tone and forces you to have something on the paper. afterwards, add in all of your dark darks. this forces you to go dark enough so you can establish all the proper shadows.
