I could use some help on a drawing I'm doing I'm having difficulty drawing the legs cuz I'm not used to drawing a chubby body! Plus any additional advice about the anatomy would be great!

I think one of my biggest problems is to understand colour value first

yes for anything in realism or semi realism value is a million times more important than color, for you you could probably practice shading by first practicing value in greyscale

you can slap any ol color (within reason) once value is good and it'll look good!!!
