Okay so after almost 9 months of procrastination I finally came back, yet again, to drawing. It’s probably my 5th comeback so far.

The next problem I’m facing – is that I have absolutely no clue from where to start or how to learn to draw what I want.
I genuinely want to be able to draw landscapes, characters and sci-fi machines, bots etc.
Though for now I decided to focus on one thing at a time and draw characters.
I already received an advice to start from drawing heads/faces and when I’m more or less certain that I can draw them only then to begin learning full body anatomy.

But even after that, I have no idea where or from what I should start, so I’m eager to hear any sort of advice from those who read my “problem” to this point.

P.s. Also wanted to ask, how to train my hands to draw clean lines and not a chicken like one, or is that skill just comes naturally from studying art?

If something is not clear in that topic I’m really sorry for my bad English. It’s just not my native language

Honestly - what works for me is less focusing on the final goals and more on simply practicing. Set yourself a habit of drawing a few minutes per day so it becomes a routine- thats how I myself avoid the famous 'art block'. Also, very crucial - ALLOW YOURSELF TO FAIL. Progress is a whole bumpy roaded journey, speaking from years of experience. Just make regular baby steps, and it'll pay off eventually. Even a simple multi-stepped anatomy youtube tutorials will help, all it takes is some research.

About the chicken lines, its like with every skill - the more you practice, the more control you gain, and therefore your hands eventually become naturally steadier :))
