I have been trying to the tail for while now but I just can't get it. It's just harder to do I don't know if it's the bow blocking away to do it but I just don't know.

depends on the length you want! try looking at other mlp pony tails and base it off that! if you find a tail you want to draw on a specific mlp character (or an mlp oc), the better!

You could try selecting the bow and putting it on another layer and hiding that layer.
That way you can keep the bow but you can maybe work on making the tail fit the rest of the body without it obscuring or influencing how you work on the tail.

Remember when drawing hair it should first be general shape then divide into large chunks. Same goes for tails
