looks fine to me, maybe you should clean it up a bit and you can add more emotion to it by changing the size of the eyes

since you can't really change the facial features to show emotions why don't you change up the body language?

the thing with masks that hide your facial features in general are that people tend to lean towards using body language more to express emotions you know, why don't you try changing around the poses and make it look like the um thing is leaning forwards to be pat on the head

I think the pose of the dude on the right is fine, you should probably change up the left a little
