Currently learning how to draw backgrounds. I understand the horizon line and different perspectives very well but just wanted to try out gestures imitating backgrounds I’ve looked at and see how well I can replicate them. I just would like to see how it is so far as an initial sketch and what I should do instead, especially to be more clearer?

I think these look great, as thumbnails, the brainstorming process you do before you do a finished painting. I think before you begin any project you should do a BUNCH of these, and explore composition, colors, values, etc. you can use them to solve a LOT of issues before you even start a finished work.
