ive been drawing for a solid 5 months now and Ive mainly used my wrist to draw my artworks. However I recently found out its supposed to be better to draw with the shoulders. For long strokes ive always used my elbow. Now I tried drawing more with my elbow and its so Unstable and drawing proper figures is actually really difficult.

Now as for my setup, I use a table with medium working space and I use a pen tablet (not the one with a screen). I find it difficult to draw with my shoulder as that means my elbow will hover. This causes me to jhave trouble drawing figures when I use my shoulder

So my question is, should I continue drawing with my wrist and my elbow or should I learn how to draw things with my shoulder? Ive already drawn for so long with my wrist and elbow so I feel like it would be a pain to change my routine... I'd appreciate the advice.

drawing with different parts of your arms have different uses

#

for example, drawing with your wrist can be used for small and precise details

while drawing with your shoulder can be used for long strokes
