In that case, I believe it would be the usual ICANN 60 days transfer restriction that also applies here, e.g. that you're not able to transfer so shortly after the domain's initial registration (or a previous transfer).
Couldn't they make an exception and transfer it? I can provide all the verifications that both are my accounts.
