#Transfer domain to Cloudflare
9 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
There's a few requirements around transfer, although they can vary a bit depending on the TLD/extension, generally:
Has to be an active website/zone in Cloudflare
Has to be a supported TLD
Can't be locked (for example, after making or transferring a domain it gets locked for 60 days)
Can't be premium
What's the domain?
@short sable did u use command line version of updating dns server ?
No, only dashboard.
Avoid DNS resolution issues caused by DNSSEC
Look at the list of DNS records at your registrar. If DS records are listed, you have two options:
Turn DNSSEC off with these per-provider instructions at least 24 hours before updating your nameservers. Most common . Did u have to wait 24h? https://dash.cloudflare.com/bcc717fbbb8624453e3986fee815f77f/Testedfreelancer.Com

The time you eventually need to wait depends on several different factors, but mostly:
-
What TLD (.com/.net, .org/.info? .dk? .nl?.eu?, .asia?, .africa?, ...)?
-
The DNS resolver you use (Cloudflare/APNIC? Google? Quad9? OpenDNS? Your ISP's resolver? ...?).
-
The resolver you use, does it honour the Time To Live (TTL), that other authoritative DNS services tell them, and remember ("cache") the response for that long? Or does it evict it's cache sooner than the Time To Live (TTL)?
