Best spot to leveling fishing

Just sharing the spot I'm using to level up fishing, it's not something miraculous but it's faster than other places in my opinion because Sea have only 2 types of fish that you can catch with Regular Bait:

• Flaming Grouper (Common +1xp)
• Snowy Bighead (Rare +3xp)
• Occasionally Coral (+5xp I think).

There's also another spot with sea fish, but from my experience there, this one seems to have less chance to catch garbage.

You'll need to research and use the Snowy Bighead so that he appears more often.

i'm hoping fish gets fixed at some point honestly cause the way they have it is exhausting and unrewarding especially since the rods break so often literally had multiple 100 to 0 on one cast, you have to have bait despite being able to fish w/o bait in real life, and everything is locked behind way higher levels than what they give in return especially special bait at 14 since it adds trash back into the rotation.

Instead of relying on lvl 14 fishing for your special bait, do the culinary weeklies until lvl 10 and craft your bait that way.

I can already craft it, not wasting hundreds of thousands of luno that i don’t have or homestead coins that have better use on it with its beyond shitty return rate on mythic fish and that it adds trash back into the pool of fishable items. Spent 24 trying to get a mythical in freshwater and never once got it got trash, commons, and 1 rockpea

Yeah, there's a trick to it... The Esc key is you're best friend. If the fish bites on the first, second, or third bob, press Esc. On the fourth or fifth bob, start reeling it in, but consider that the line tension should be moving relatively quick and the fish icon relatively slowly.

More than 3 bobs never gave me anything except for trash and common fish, and the escape key only works if you don’t click catch initially. So your point is also not useful outside of the city. The cheese strat guide on here already covered a similar concept but was only tested and practiced by the op of that guide in the city which they even admitted with myself and multiple others corroborating that it held no truth or function outside the city

From all the data i’ve seen crunched by others and what i’ve actually watched myself commons give 1 and rares give 3, trash gives 1, and the only time i paid attention to the not fish like the jellyfish it gave 2, completely forgot to watch what mythical gave for the only one i could catch with 28 special bait

Esc still works even if you started to reel, it also does work in freshwater areas as well.

By that I mean I encountered the legendary freshwater fish using the technique

U lose the bait if u do that tested it multiple times with cheap bait, not to mention the method doesn't work in freshwater unless they did an update in last 2 days.

the fishes in seawater and freshwater are just random for mythical, the special bait never gets consumed when Esc cancelling on prehook and during reeling, not sure about the others
